plus

I love these!

new animations

Some videos my class has made...
They are working really hard, and making awesome things!

The kids get a lot of satisfaction out of adding sound and titles too.  iMovie makes it so simple to record sound, add transitions and credits... they've learned it really fast.

Vanishing point

...I went to the thrift store this week for the first time in so long.  I used to spend hours and hours there.  The ceramics in particular caught my eye, and I took home a few

* I love gold frames like these/

Two of the pots from the thrift were planters, so I took a few of my my newly-rooted cuttings out of their tin cans and gave them their own ceramics.

* I've been going crazy with trying to root cuttings lately... It's an awesome way to expand your houseplant collection without spending a ton of money.  Apparently, you can make the growing hormone from willow bark, which I think I will try next//

A cool copy of Lonesome Dove.  I love that movie... with Robert Duvall, Anjelica Huston, Tommy Lee Jones and a young Diane Lane.  so good.

Otherwise down the rabbit hole with making sample projects with the kids.  They made their first stop motion videos and we're adding titles, etc. next week/ YAY!

working it out all over the place...

I am still working out the format, etc. of this blog but I wanted to share some things...

Introducing Jones...my roommate's cat... keeping an eye on the
neighborhood...

Meg came to visit from Mexico... stories were shared and gifts were given!

She brought with her some beautiful jewelry...

The necklace in the middle (with the dangling lizard) was given to her by a Shaman!

...and showed us some Huichol art!

She brought me the most beautiful pillowcase...

 ...and a necklace!

We spent a day at the Getty; we were very preoccupied with these
Bougainvillea "trees"...

And I always find a mystery plant that I need to come home and look up...

This fountain is my favorite!  That rock crawling over the side...

Things at the art camp are going well!  The kids are doing some cool projects!

Whew, that was a long one!  Thanks for looking!
