a student gave me this yarn at the end of the year last year.  it is so beautiful; i spent a lot of time trying to figure out a pattern that would do it justice.  i definitely want to make a scarf though because i want it next to my face all winter long.

a couple photos from a class I (co)taught this summer.  we did a lot of drawing and identifying and ended up making our own field guide to the school's grounds.  sometimes you have to teach something before you find out how much you know about it.
